This March, Vault by Vans reunites with Sarah Andelman, founder of publishing and creative agency Just An Idea and co-founder and former creative director of Colette, the legendary Parisian retail concept store that blurred the lines boundaries between style, music, art and design. Through her partnership with Vault by Vans, Sarah Andelman brings together a group of four inspiring women from around the world, reunited with love to celebrate International Women’s Day every single day.
Fumiko Imano is a highly acclaimed artist who Sarah met through Colette when she sold her self-published photo books. Each panel of this OG Sk8-Hi LX includes a photoreal print from Imano’s exhibition titled “Somehow Somewhere Sometimes at Some Place for Some Reason” that when worn together as a pair depicts each twin. This is contrasted by a vivid safety yellow canvas upper along with the exhibition's title written in Fumiko’s handwriting across the iconic Sidestripe and ribbon laces.
