Vault by Vans teams up with Nigeran-American artist Ade Okuboyejo with a new collaboration inspired by Ade’s childhood growing up in Ikoyi, Lagos. Dobale, the brainchild of Ade, derives for the Yorùbá language and simply translates to “respect”. 

Along with the 3 footwear items, the Vans x Dobale collection offers a selection of apparel that follows the same light-hearted theme. The PO Hoodie brings yet another memory of childhood and uses a bright Buka Umbrella graphic on the back that serves as one of Dobale’s signature components and is inspired by African kiosk umbrellas that sell local street foods. The front features a "From Ikoyi with Love" graphic with a palm tree that can also be found on the left sleeve.
