The 1989-90 season, it was clear to everyone that Michael Jordan is at the height of his powers. Every aspect of Jordan’s game was flawless, but it was his dogfight-like flight that separated him from every other player on the planet. This was Tinker Hatfield's inspiration for the next Jordan signature shoe. This ‘Laney’ rendition builds on the Emsley A. Laney High School inspiration first introduced in 2001’s White/Blue/Yellow edition that saw a reissue in 2013. Most noticeably this time around the white leather upper is swapped out for a rich, deep blue nubuck. Details include a chenille embroidered Jumpman on the reflective tongue, Jordan’s iconic ‘23’ squad number stitched on the heel and grey speckle effect on the midsole.
