Liam Gallagher, one of the most recognisable figures in modern British music comes together with Nigel Cabourn, to reimagine a garment that is steeped in military history and British popular culture. Their version of the smock parka – a garment Liam Gallagher wears almost daily - takes its cues from the 1940s over the head military issue retaining distinct functional details such as the off-centre three button-up collar and oversized kangaroo pocket. They’ve added their own touches making the length longer and dipping the hem slightly at the back. Staying true to both their northern roots it has been made in Lancashire, England and from cotton Ventile®, a high performance, natural fabric originally developed at the Shirley Institute in Manchester.
