The Karhu Trampas first appeared in the 1960s as a running shoe designed with a focus on more regular training needs in mind. The introduction of design details including a more padded heel collar and better arch support paved the way for the Trampas to be worn by both Finnish Olympians and everyday folks that appreciated its durability and casual style. The suede uppers on this edition have a premium finish to them, in a smooth grey and contrasting navy, echoing the Universal Works approach to minimalist colour schemes. The 'M' logo has been flipped to read 'W', while the Universal Works script logo runs across it printed inverted. With a gum rubber outsole, this runner has a distinctly retro feel that contrasts with the modern adjustments introduced.
