ACW* was created as a direct response to the various social and material elements within London's densely populated urban landscape. Creative director Samuel Ross birthed the brand to fulfil his own creative intrigue, but ended up captivating the fashion audience entirely through his unique view on industrial design and the British working class. The brand has since flourished into a worldwide entity, branching out into collaborations with likeminded creatives. Eastpak's 'Built to Resist' motto falls in line with ACW*'s ideals, the two have combined to reimagine some of Eastpak's most iconic models.
The Padded model is a heavy duty backpack with various compartments, including a laptop sleeve, which is all protected by the padded textile construction where the model gets it name from. Co-branding is found throughout, with text heavy overlays interwoven through the design in typical ACW* fashion. Additional features include a key ring holder, padded back panel and adjustable straps.
