This 1461 shoe is made with all the classic Doc's DNA, including grooved sides, heel-loop and sole unit stitching. Built to last, it's made using one of the finest methods of construction: the Goodyear Welt — which means the upper and sole are sewn together using a heat-sealed z-welt stitch. Once again world renowned shoe maker Doctor Martens join forces with Japanese contemporary streetwear brand Neighborhood to reimagine the 2976 and 1461 with a grungy paint splattered design that gives the clean cut handcrafted shoes a totally new aesthetic. Known for their dark colour pallets and ominous graphics, Neighborhood let the craft speak for itself with minimal branding and maximum effect. Paired with the paint splatter is an industrial reflective heel-loop that runs all the way down the back of the shoe, creating a bright flash as it catches the light.
