Originally launched in 1987, the Diadora Maverick signified a change in the look and feel of court footwear. Chunkier more performance orientated tennis shoes become the order of the day, and much like the court styles that came before Diadora's foray into a new world of performance footwear crossed the divide into the lifestyle realm as its predecessors had before it. Making its comeback a few years ago and blasting into the consciousness of sneakerheads worldwide earlier this year thanks to a Raekwon link up the Maverick returns in a near OG spec for SS21. Boasting a tumbled full-grain white leather upper with perforated detailing and leather overlays the Maverick keeps things suitably classic with its material spec and palette. A chunky EVA midsole runs beneath cushioning each step whilst a towelling collar lining further dials in era-defining looks.
