This latest offering from ASICS sees the Japanese brand combine its apparent sports car like stylings with an innovative and sustainably in tune production method. Partnering with Japanese auto part manufacturer TOYODA GOSEI the upper of this latest Gel-Sonoma 15-50 is crafted using recycled airbags manufactured by the aforementioned auto group. The result leads to a truly unique texture alongside some unique embroidered motifs as seen with the 'C54' & '15-50' embroidery across the upper panels. But this performance part raid doesn't end with Air bags, off cuts from leather used in interior trim and on steering wheels are also put to good use. The colourway symbolises the land of the rising sun by way of a white & red colourway whilst also giving off a certain clean uniform-like/workwear mechanics boiler suit vibe to the whole shoe.
