Following some excursions across the Atlantic taking in the great states of the US, as well as faithfully reproducing the Mexicana adidas's city series is back on familiar soil. October 2022 sees the City Series juggernaut touch down in the North East of Italy. The port city of Trieste is - often described as a 'maritime gateway' because of its location- the city represents a true convergence of Latin, Slavic and Germanic cultures where Central Europe meets the Med.
The adidas Triest has been one of the most sought-after City Series models for years. The beige upper contrasts with the gum rubber outsole in a simple yet timeless way that has mesmerised generation after generation. The 1978 original sported a metallic sign-off, which has now oxidised to green for those who have held onto them through the years. For these shoes, we pay homage to the patina with a true green sign-off that nods to the collector in all of us.
