Collection: Nike SB Air Force II Sneakers

Although it started life as a basketball shoe in the 80s, the Nike SB Air Force 2 has switched occupations to join the Swoosh ‘SB’ skateboarding range. Complete with leather and suede overlays on high-wear areas, the Air Force 2 could have been born for shredding decks. Perforations around the toe and side panels offer maximum breathability, and a supportive rubber heel cap helps increase stability. And with a soft, padded ankle panel and lining, this skateboarding kick is born for all-day wear.

The Nike Air Force 2 was released first released in 1987, five years after its predecessor. However, despite the success of the AF1, the Air Force 2 went down as a woefully underrated silhouette, failing to achieve the same on-court appeal as the original. But while the AF2 was largely ignored by the basketball community, it did find an unlikely home in the skate scene. Its durable construction saw the 80s hoops sneaker quickly adopted by skateboarders, and now Nike is celebrating the sneaker’s new identity by re-releasing it into their iconic SB range.
