A cult-classic basketball sneaker. The Nike Air Foamposite sneaker dropped a wholly-unique, supernatural look onto the courts in the mid-90s, and has never stopped feeling fresh and beautifully-weird. Sitting on top of Nike’s iconic Air sole unit and finished with a grippy rubber outsole, this high-top shoe has seen dozens of different colourways and iterations over the years, including a must-have style inspired by the New York Knicks. 

First launched in 1997, the Nike Air Foamposite range dropped in two distinctive silhouettes: the Foamposite Pro, and the Foamposite One. Made famous on the feet of NBA stars Tim Duncan and Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, this futuristic basketball sneaker became a go-to for 90s courts, cementing its status as an icon for years to come. Over two decades later, the Nike Air Foamposite feels just as relevant today as it did in ’97.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro comes complete with strong, fully waterproof uppers, complemented by an innovative carbon-fibre midsole plate for gravity-defying leaps. Meanwhile, the Foamposite One sports a shiny, wipe-clean upper, with premium suede detailing and a futuristic aesthetic.

The biggest design differences between the Foamposite Pro and the One is the placement of the Swoosh. While the Pro opts for a classic oversized Swoosh on the sidewall, the One goes for a more understated, mini tick on the forefoot. Despite the chunky and hard-wearing aesthetic, both silhouettes offer surprisingly lightweight support and comfort.
