Neighborhood clothing was founded in the Harajuku district of Tokyo in 1994, dreamt up by a young motorcycle enthusiast called Shinsuke Takizawa. Inspired by the growing motorcycle subculture in Japan, Shinsuke set out to fuse expert apparel with high-fashion design.
The "Smooth Hooded Sweatshirt" makes use of cardboard polyester knit which creates a stronger tension and helps retain heat making it very cosy. The unique construction of the oversized hoodie involves a split panel down the centre of the back, and an adjustable draw string on the hood and at the hem. Completed with a logo patch embroidered on the hood and chest.
