Collection: Adidas Marathon TR Sneakers

The Adidas Marathon Trainer is a vintage trail-running shoe, re-released from the legendary Adidas archives in 2018. Originally launched in 1979, the shoe was one of the final projects of founder Adi Dassler’s career. The 2018 version is a faithful reissue of the original shoe, with a timeless, rugged design that’s still just as relevant as it was in the 80s.

One of the unique things about the Marathon Trainer is its intricate rubber outsole. Composed entirely of trefoil logos, this distinctive flourish gives the shoe tons of attitude, while also providing the wearer with exceptional grip on a variety of surfaces. The shoe is finished off with the classic Adidas logo patch on the tongue.

Although running shoes had always been a huge part of Adidas’s identity, the Marathon Trainer marked the launch of a brand new category: trail running. Since the original launch, Adidas have released a huge variety of trail running shoes, from the warm Snowpitch styles to the waterproof Skychaser designs.
