Salong Betong proudly presents their third collaboration sneaker with Reebok.
Their first collaboration in 2011 resulted in a re-designed white Classic Leather Ultralight in a limited edition which sold out in just a few hours. In 2013 it was time for the next hit, a black Classic Leather highlighted worldwide.
This time Salong Betong has re-worked a new but equally classic silhouette,
the NPC II. The result is, as always, stylish with richness in details. A white luxury sneaker with a ”high fashion” feel.
The concrete printed sole in contrast to the pure and luxurious outer, serves as a reminder of Salong Betong’s own journey ”From Nothing To Something”.
”The most important thing this time was to make a clean white sneaker, that at first glance looks simple but taking a closer look reveals fun details and really good materials. We also look back at our first shoe that many still asks for and as a homage, we picked up the quilting detail, this time we put it in the inside of the shoe” says Felix Den Lycklige.
The shoe is made of the finest imaginable Aniline Nappa Garment Leather on toe and tongue. The sides are made of Naturally Semi Pigmented Tumbled Leather. Nice details like tongue patch and heel in Cracked Suede, embossed SB logo and quilted leather interior. The shoe comes with white oval laces and white flat waxed extra laces.
Salong Betong is the always present tattoo studio from Högdalen, a swedish suburb out of Stockholm, Sweden. Ever since their start in 2009, a steady stream of artists and celebrities have been travelling to visit their salons and gifted tattoo artists.
Swedish Television portrayed Salong Betong in a ten-part documentary and for several years, they have been placed on King Magazine´s list of ”100 most important people in menswear”. Salong Betong always challenges the given rules and keep looking for new creative solutions. In May 2015 they opened the world’s first tattoo studio ever in an airport, Salong Betong Arlanda.
”If you look at the history of the industry, the tattoo studios always opened nearby harbours where people meet and are heading somewhere. The airports is our time harbours.”
