BAIT and Reebok got together for an in-depth design session over the iconic DMX Run 10, dubbed the “Ideation Department.”
Studying the Reebok archives, BAIT pays homage to the ideation process behind the DMX Run 10. The design takes into consideration the original notations of DMX Run 10 designer Bill Marvin and superimposes them over the technical drawings of the DMX sole-unit technology, using layers of transparent TPU across the upper. An Isometric Grid pattern is utilized as a nod to the blank pages before sketching. The tongue and eyelets have been updated for a modern take on a classic silhouette. A transparent white outsole runs along the bottom, for a clean design. The insole carries the original sketches of Bill Marvin, which tell a deeper story of how the DMX Run 10 was developed.
