When Puma asked Sneaker Freaker to do a Puma collaboration in late the 2000’s they wanted to renew something classic. The result was the PUMA Blaze of Glory. Based on the PUMA Disc Blaze, with the famous PUMA Disc system replacing the standard lace-system.
With just a few minor tweaks, and the removal of the disc system – the PUMA Blaze of Glory was born and released in 2008. Since then, it has been one of PUMA’s best performing lifestyle silhouettes.
The folks at Sneakersnstuff had this to say about the collaboration “To continue the path that Woody and his crew once started exploring, we wanted to work on one of the newer silhouettes from PUMA. Being sneaker nerds since the 80’s means that we get super excited over new technologies. So to be able to work on the company’s number one performance shoe Ignite is of course very exciting for us.”
The PUMA x Sneakersnstuff ”Swedish Camo Pack” takes the design theme from the Swedish military camouflage M90. M90 was introduced 1990 (shocker…) and is still in use today.
