Puma and Rhuigi Villaseñor are back with another collaborative drop. The Los Angeles based creative, and founder of Rhude, looks to the east coast of the United States to draw a narrative from New York City. His knack for reinterpreting American classics has rendered a tasteful homage to the New York boroughs, with contemporary styling and silhouettes. Perfectly blending old and new.
Puma's Slipstream is a mainstay within their portfolio of design, since its conception as basketball shoe in '87 it has become a regular on the streets as court shoes began to seep into the fashion space. Leather uppers are supported by suede overlays that wrap across the toe box of the shoe, providing extra durability with a subtle change of colour and texture. Yellow hues on the Anti-Shock midsole enhance the vintage appearance of this Slipstream, embossed across the heels of the pair is a date reading 1991. Co-branded woven tongue labels are the sign-off on the two collaborator's latest output.
