Hailing from Australia, Butter Goods was founded by schoolmates Garth Mariano and Matt Evans in 2008 as a way for the two friends to showcase their custom graphics, a shared love of jazz and '90s hip hop as well as their deep appreciation for bold skate styles of the past.
Fast forward to the present day and the brand known for their quirky, playful takes embark on their second collaborative venture with sportswear big cats PUMA.
Sticking close to that tried and tested winning formula that landed well the first drop, Butter & PUMA take some well known & not so well known heritage silhouettes and reimagine them in a plush execution that serves to doff its cap to the past whilst firmly being rooted in the present.
The reworked vintage Slipstream Lo is no exception. As Butter goods treat us to a brace of solid renditions utilising both luxe hairy shaggy suede & smooth premium off white leather. Gum rubber outsoles and swathes of Butter's carefully considered branding make both executions sure fire wins in our book.
The Suede VTG sees a similarly sophisticated execution, one we can imagine lacing up in 2003, 23 or even 43 if shoes are still a thing by then. Hairy suede with a satisfying nap paired with a contrasting black midsole signed off with gold foil branding. Our compliments to the chef!
It's not just the footwear that makes up this drop, Butter and PUMA join forces to present a five piece apparel collection that sees Butter's styling represented across a range of dependable and ultimately wearable street wear essentials.
We're talking half zip jackets dripping in 90's flavour, dependable marl grey sweats with some signature branding plus some shorts and a selection of classic tees.
