PUMA Super Team Currency Pack

This Spring, PUMA present Part 2 of the Currency Pack and place the recently re-issued Super Team at centre stage.

Inspired by the now out of use French Franc and Dutch Guilder, PUMA draw on these decades old bank notes and reinterpret their colours and quirks onto the uppers of the Super Team.

Each shoe arrives dressed in a familiar rich suede upper with closed mesh, and feature hues of Marshmallow & Foxglove contrasted by leather form strips in Apricot & Chestnut. Holographic tongue labels feature on both pairs depicting a PUMA flip to the iconic bank notes of France & The Netherlands. This bank note graphic continues onto the footbeds and gold foil PUMA branding on the lateral shoe and heels complete the upper. A set of gum rubber cup soles with a contrast stitch around the front of the shoe finish off both iterations of the Super Team.

For part 2 of the Currency Pack from PUMA, we revisited that age old past time of deadstock hunting. This is how HANON started and countless others have intrepidly gone where they hope no footwear enthusiast has been before. Scouring the early web, classified ads, and leads they've found in foreign cities in the hope of uncovering a bounty of dusty untapped sportswear riches. This time out, we looked to focus on the transportation of the era used to get those trailblazing aficionados from city store to small town sport shop.
