PUMA RS-0 x Roland

For August 2018 Puma link up with legendary instrument manufacturer Roland to give two RS series shoes an 808-inspired redux.
Founded in Tokyo Japan during the 1970’s, Roland unleashed their pioneering Rhythm machines to an unsuspecting public forever changing the face of ‘modern’ music. Perhaps the machine to leave its mark so indelibly in the consciousness is the Tr-808. A machine famed for its Legendary boom and sizzle, the 808 is universally adored across a musical spectrum with early and modern-day Hip Hop producers championing its booming bass drum and crispy hi hats. Swathes of dance music genres have and continue to utilize the 808’s robotic claps, driving looping patterns and all-round versatility to make a track "go off".
Now Puma and Roland apply the iconic aesthetics of the 808 to Puma’s RS-Series running shoes. We got an exclusive glimpse of, the RS-0 Roland back in April at PUMA’s RS-System celebration in Berlin and grabbed some snaps of the shoe sitting amongst Roland’s latest incarnation of the 808. Scroll down to check out some images from the event as well as some detail shots from PUMA.
