In 1991 the Puma Disc was introduced as the worlds fastest non-lacing system in a run of 5000 original pairs. It wasn’t until 1993 when the Puma Disc Blaze was introduced. It’s introduction was short lived however and it wasn’t until 2012 where sneaker “colourist” Ronnie Fieg reconstructed the OG Disc Blaze.
In the 90s, on top of the Disc innovation Puma added to the visual technology craze with Trinomic: clear rubber hexagonal cells that collapsed and expanded to cushion, flex, and stabilize. The technology popped up in star trainers such as the R698, Disc, and Blaze of Glory to form the coveted (and comfortable) Trinomic family.
Now for 2016 Puma give us this “Electric” version of the Disc Blaze featuring a clean white and black colourway with Safety Yellow pops.
