NikeLab Roshe Daybreak x fragment

“He who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past” – that’s a quote from 1984 but it seems Nike have taken some inspiration from George Orwell’s allegorical tale in this marriage of past and present styles in the form of the NikeLab Roshe Daybreak x fragment.

NikeLab and Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design have merged the Roshe LD-1000 and Roshe Cortez into a new hybrid sneaker, fittingly titled the Roshe Daybreak. This new silouhette references the retro Nike Daybreak, a runner that originally made it’s debut in 1979. Taking the same DNA as the original release, fragment Design have added the Nike Roshe sole unit, detailing it with a Nike Tool Code first seen on the NikeLab Roshe LD-1000 x fragment. The upper features a breathable mesh, providing lightweight comfort while celebrating Blue Ribbon Sports’ running heritage.
