Patta and Nike have joined hands once again through a legendary collaboration in the form of a redesign of the iconic Air Max 1 with a collection titled 'The Wave'. Our 5th take on this classic silhouette sees a limited line of apparel release alongside yet another storied collaboration between Patta and Nike.
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 comes in this Metallic Silver colourway with a new, reimagined 'wave' mudguard overlay in Monarch (Curry), as well as Pure Platinum overlays throughout. The Patta x Nike AM1 sees tonal Nike Air branding on the heel, while a mini swoosh embroidered on the mudguard adds a final subtle twist to this cult classic silhouette which is widely regarded as the signature shoe of Amsterdam.
To bring the release to life, Nike and Patta produced a short film directed by burgeoning filmmaker, Mahaneela who worked under the mentorship of critically acclaimed UK Filmmaker Steve McQueen. The Wave film explores the themes of freedom, creativity, and truth within the Patta community, as they ebb and flow through cultural landscapes of style, music, fashion, and sport. The films were produced by McQueen’s production house, Lammas Park.
