Originally co-designed by infamous Nike designer Tinker Hatfield’s younger brother Tobie Hatfield, the Nike Air Presto were inspired by apparel design and affectionately known as “T-Shirts for your feet”. This sentiment was reflected in the original sizing options which ranged from XXXS–XXXL rather than the standard numeric system.

They are also led the way in being credited as one of the first shoes to use a digitally printed graphic on it’s neoprene upper. When they first released in 2000 they came in 13 different colourways, each with a nickname (well apart from the 13th one for some reason).

“The Shady Milkman” was one of these and as can be seen in the ad from the time below these are an accurate recreation. Using a heather pattern on the uppers and yellow detailing on the signature lacing apparatus, rubber outsole and toe, a deep blue is seen on the lining, laces and midsole.
