When Visible Air debuted in 1987, Nike designers quickly realised that a little is good, but more is better. Enter the Air Max 180, a sneaker from ’91 that featured 50 percent more Visible Air than its predecessors.
By wrapping the Air unit around the shoe and bonding it to the sole, it allowed Nike Air to literally hit the streets. Back in its original and unmistakably ’90s colourway, the Air Max 180 brings a whole new dimension to visible Air.
