Celebrating 30 years of Air Jordan greatness, the new Air Jordan XXX honours number 23’s roots. The all black colourway could be reference to Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname from the mid 90’s whereas he was known as that amongst his peers due to his cunning and stealthy approach on-court. The story goes that Tinker Hatfield came to the idea on his own, unaware of the nickname, and it led to the big cat inspired Air Jordan 13. Blacked out colourways have appeared on select Air Jordans since and the XXX is the latest to get that treatment.
