Back in 1991 Nike designer Tinker Hatfield started the ball rolling for what has fast become one of Nike’s best selling silhouettes.
Appearing for the first time in Persian Violet, a colourway that is most familiar on the Air Max BW which funnily enough is also reissued this week in it’s OG makeup (we already saw a snakeskin iteration a few weeks ago). The eagle eyed amongst you might also have noticed that there’s another popular silhouette that’s getting the Persian Violet treatment this week and that is the Air Presto but we’ll be focussing on that in the next couple of days.
Coming in a mainly white upper, the Persian Violet is used sparingly with the tongue, heel and sole taking on the colourway whereas the gaps are filled with black and the midsole keeps it clean with white.
