NEW TO HANON: ON RUNNING Drop the Cloudaway "Kanazawa"
New to HANON this October are Swiss performance running brand ON. Setting out on their mission to improve running and provide weary athletes feet with a comfy place to work since 2010. The Swiss brand have gone from strength to strength. Creating a bespoke shoe for Grand Slam Tennis supremo and compatriot Roger Federer to constantly remixing and perfecting their enviable arsenal of running shoes.
As well as producing some serious performance running shoes, ON have slowly but surely been capturing a new audience that value the tech and gritty R&D with the clean cut lifestyle focused designs that lend themselves to featuring in daily rotations.
Step forward the Cloudaway. Built to be flexible, versatile, and super easy to pack. The utility-inspired design is a nod to the road less traveled. And the 10% recycled rubber sole means the only thing that's limited is your environmental impact. Sticking with the notion of packing and travel this latest iteration of the Cloudaway is inspired by the 'Shinkansen station' at Kanazawa, in Japan’s Ishikawa prefecture, is not just a stop. It’s an architectural fusion of old and new. The Tsuzumi (drum) is a gateway to pass through that actually makes you stop. This ability to turn travel into a series of moments inspires this special edition.

ON RUNNING Cloudaway "Kanazawa"
A lightweight mesh upper engineered with recycled materials has been updated with a metallic look for a nod to industrial design and the urban jungles it’s made to explore. ON keep the single-toggle elasticated lacing system from the Cloudaway for a quick fastening. More time to think about where you’re headed. The mudguard has been updated with metallic detail for a more industrial aesthetic. The mountain silhouette sidewall adds extra support and protection. And a nod to the shoe’s Swiss-engineered origins
ON keep the 3D map of the Engadine Valley – home of On – embossed on the sole and Cloud elements. But we took the upper around the world. The colourway is inspired by the wooden structures at Kanazawa station.
