New Balance SS21: New Arrivals
By all accounts New Balance had quite the 2020. The Boston heavyweights dominated the sneaker landscape with the much lauded 992 comeback stealing the headlines, dominating social media, and being present in end of year lists by anyone and everyone. Throw in the success stories of the 327 silhouette and some heavy-hitting collaborative ventures and it certainly adds up to have been their strongest year for a while.
The New Balance juggernaut shows no signs of letting up as the new product charges into 2021. For our first delivery of the year, NB drop some dependable classics which no rotation should be without. The 'High-Viz' Pack that debuted last season on the all conquering M992 returns this time enlisting the 990V5 and M1300. However, it's not just all MiUSA action here as the craftsmen & women from Flimby turn out an impressive colourway on the latest style to emerge from the Lake District - the M920. Having starred in some noteworthy collabs recently with some storied European boutiques, this latest colourway is one to add to the impressive line up thus far.

Worn on fashion runways, and morning runs, New Balance's fifth iteration of the 990 is upon us. An evolved take on the V4, New Balance opts to subtly build on the V4's work with a streamlined midsole appearance, reshaped toe box area, and plush suede uppers work an orange palette, with a harmonizing hue on the mesh. A brand new TPU piece on the midsection stands out in 'Hi Viz'. Detailing arrives via a signature MiUSA badge on the tongue & 990 branding on the heel in some subtle silver foil.
The New Balance 1300 made a welcome return to the fold in 2020 in the form of some stellar colourways and the iconic JP release. 2021 sees New Balance keep the 1300 colourways coming and kits it out in a 'High Viz' makeup that combines traditional New Balance grey suede with pops of high visibility yellow and orange on the N & heel. A white midsole runs underneath keeping things suitably classic.
