New Balance and Grenson have come together on the classic 576 silhouette and gave it a traditional dress shoe inspired upper. As New Balance and Grenson are both shoe making companies, things were done a little differently for this collaboration.
The New Balance 576GRB was manufactured across both Grenson’s Northampton factory, and New Balance’s UK factory in Flimby, Cumbria, utilising the craftsmanship, expertise and premium materials of both parties.
The leather used on this shoe is Grenson’s best Italian grade-A calf-skin leather in tan and was cut into the 576 pattern at Flimby, before being shipped back down the road to Grenson, where they applied their signature burnishing and broguing details. Following this, all the components were then returned to the Flimby factory where they were then assembled into the final shoe. Additional details come in the form of red leather insoles with gold-foil dual branding, an embossed tan leather tongue label, and a creamy-white leather lining with a matching midsole, finished off with a gum outsole.
