Opium Paris team up with French sportwear brand Le Coq Sportif to rework their classic R1000 running style. Starring in some covetable collaborations (Including one we were involved with) the razor sharp R1000 is one of the pinnacle models in Le Coq Sportif’s arsenal of sneakers.
For this collaborative Made in France edition, Parisian store Opium opt to dress the uppers of the R1000 in a combination of leather, suede & Le Coq Sportif’s signature nylon panelling. All presented in a very effective palette that uses grey & black shades a base with pops of purple & pink to create an effective vibrant upper.
Opium’s R1000 features a tremendous level of detail throughout. The upper see’s ‘stone’ like textures applied to the rear overlays with Opium putting their own spin on the Le Coq Sportif logo on the side foot swapping out the Le Coq Sportif Cockerel for Opium’s own insignia. Opium branding continues by way of a pair of woven tongue labels, custom footbeds & bespoke packaging.
