2018 saw Diadora celebrate their 70th anniversary and as part of the celebration, the Italian brand paid homage to their unique relationship with some of the world’s best players. An era when Diadora were the undisputed kings of style on the football pitch. We're talking about that 90’s golden era, that saw Baggio, Weah & van Basten win the ‘Pallone D’Oro’ aka the Ballon d’Or and make Football Italia on channel 4 essential viewing. We worked with Diadora last year to launch the Pallone D’Oro a luxurious reworking of the brand's iconic football boot originally worn by the 90’s heavyweights.
2019 sees a continuation of the theme with the launch of the Gold Indoor. Arriving in two colourways, a classic black and gum iteration and a new all-white edition. The upper retains that signature Diadora football boot look with contrasting leather & suede panels. The minimal colouring is broken by apt gold branding and a subtle Italian flag on the heel. Diadora borrows a classic gum rubber sole unit, very similar to the one you can find on a pair of Aberdeen’s.
