Once part of a German initiative to get the country into sport, the SUPER TRIMM BLACK is the latest addition to HUMMEL HIVE Collection, released in limited numbers for 2017.
Like the SUPER TRIMM OG, released in early May, Hummel’s latest addition was first introduced in the early 80’s as a response to the former German Sports Federation, with the aim to get the people of Germany into exercise and sport. This successful campaign was led by cartoon character Trimmy (Trimm Dich) and was briefed out to all major sportswear companies within Germany at the time. hummel responded to the brief with the introduction of the SUPER TRIMM, which was designed specifically to fit the desired needs of the modern day athlete.
The SUPER TRIMM BLACK consists of a black nubuck upper with slick white detailing and script, sat on top of an injected polyurethane sole. The design is above all timeless with tribute paid to the understated colour schemes of the 1980’s, and original chevron detailing included throughout.
