High Summer Gear

We've rounded up some seasonal pieces from what's new on the site to give you some inspiration for any summer wardrobe refreshes or last minute holiday supplies. Shorts, tees, sunglasses, and some essential footwear suggestions are all included.

First up we have this ensemble, primed for manoeuvres when the mercury rises. Adsum's Otter Swim short has become a bit of a favourite with us this season. Lightweight and relatively hard wearing which makes these the ultimate hot weather adventure short, whether you're swimming in Lochs, having kick-abouts in the park, or Al fresco dinners, these shorts have got your back. T-shirts are supplied via Canada's own Better Gift Shop, a clean white premium made in the USA t-shirt again like the shorts are an essential. Nike's shoe of the minute, the Air Kukini, dropped in this very early 2000's execution that we've a lot of time for. Think early 2000's Japanese streetwear mags and you're on the money. The look is finished off with Spektrum Sports Bio Based Eyewear. Spektrum glasses start as seeds from the Castor plant which are processed and subsequently molded into performance eyewear, but we think they look the part in a casual ensemble too.

Continuing our quest to provide you with the best summer short options sees Afield Out present their Sierra Short. Constructed in a nice lightweight crinkly nylon with that all important built in webbed belt, subtle branding hits, and an off beat colour selection that opens up the colour styling options for your upper half. Paired here with more premium Made In The USA Staple tees from Better with the latest in a long line of killer XT6 Salomon colourways (act fast before this latest one flies). A good hat is always a summer necessity and these latest lids from Aries are your best bet. Tasteful embroidery and a nice profile keep the rays off your noggin and your long locks in check if you should be so lucky as well as nicely rounding off that outfit.

Rounding things off with probably the hardest shorts on the list. Made from some tough Cordura fabric in Japan by artisans FDMTL, with cargo pockets to store a whole manner of summer related gubbins. A nice elasticated waist with draw cord fasten offered here in a satisfying, easy to pair, navy colour. Shirting is provided by our very own Longhaul Shirt which is constructed in Portugal and works nicely on its own or worn as your top layer should there be a chill in the air. The Gazelle Indoor returns to our shelves and needs little introduction with a timeless Wayfarer shape from Spektrum rounding things off.
