HANON x Lavenham 2023

HANON is proud to present a brand new collaboration with Lavenham.

Comprising a two piece outerwear capsule, we have reinterpreted both the Lavenham Denham jacket and Dublin gilet. Each garment is updated with a utility look-and-feel and is inspired by the illustrious history of smuggling in Suffolk - the region of England where Lavenham was founded and manufacture their jackets to this day.

For the collaboration, each garment is reworked with functionality at its core. Our edition of the Denham includes a full zip instead of the traditional snap-button closure, whilst the rounded back-vent styling of the original jacket is updated to a squared-off hem. For comfort and weather protection, ribbed cuffs are added to the sleeves, and further detail can be found via tonal elbow patches and an additional pocket applied to the chest.

Continuing the design inspiration through a utility lens, the Dublin gilet has been reimagined as a two-way garment. Fully reversible, one side mirrors the Denham in a quilted application, while the opposing side is more workman-like in aesthetic, finished in a cotton drill material with four patch-pockets.

Presented in gun metal grey and shades of green, our collaboration with Lavenham has been designed with layering in mind. Both pieces can be worn together or individually. The Denham is more of a loose, contemporary fit than its predecessors and tailored to accommodate the Dublin gilet as a base layer. As a result a synergy exists between both garments and this can be seen in the continuity of detailing such as cord trims, dual branded labels and quilted stitch pattern.

Our edition of the Denham jacket has been produced to an edition of 45 pieces and the Dublin gilet 30 pieces.
