British weather is unpredictable.
We prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
When the weather lets us down, we won’t let rain stop play.
Fred Perry’s latest Exhibition shoe: tough, breathable, water-
resistant. Constructed in performance fabric by textile pioneers Halley Stevensons.
Based on the B1 and B2 Tennis Shoes from the Fred Perry archive, the Rain Stops Play shoes are limited edition, created in a breathable, water-resistant fabric in the same Navy and Ice colourways as their iconic M12 shirt.
Both shoes are constructed in P200 Superdry: a densely-woven and untreated cotton performance fabric which has been made in the legendary Halley Stevensons mill in Scotland. The same material that we pioneered the use of on footwear with our recent collaboration with Fred Perry.
Instantly recognised by its unique upper pattern, the bowling detail on the toe of the B1 comes from the original shoe from the Fred Perry archive. Classic B2 details also remain, with rounded toe and padded heel tab.
Both shoes are finished with tonal stitch detailing and their 30-leaf Laurel Wreath, contrast coloured towelling lining and come in branded dust-bags.
The Exhibition footwear range by Fred Perry is much like the tennis match it takes its name from, not competing for ranking points nor money but simply to please the crowds. A proud display of reworked classics.
