FIRST LOOK: Nike Air Force 1 '07 Premium 3x1 Denim

The force1 1 first hit harwood courts in 82 and has been a staple on the streets since. In its near 4-decade existence the iconic basketball style has donned countless textiles and unique materials throughout its vivid life. Now tastefully recreated in collaboration with NYC-based luxury denim label 3X1, the Air Force 1 features another premium textile for the first-time ever. Which is staggering considering the sheer number of Air Force 1 variations to grace planet earth.

Known for their bespoke denim sold out of their atelier in NYC, 3x1 brings selvedge denim to the Air Force 1 silhouette for the first-time ever. “The first thing we started thinking about was using selvedge denim in a way that hadn't been done before on a shoe.” Explains 3x1 founder, Scott Morrison. In addition to using selvedge denim cuts on the AF-1 for the first time ever, the collaboration brings denim to the collar lining and sockliner of the Air Force 1 for another first in the shoe's history.

Celebrating 3x1 and adding their own touch to proceedings, each AF-1 features 3x1’s signature detail that is seen on the back-left pocket of their denim. Final details that sign off this latest entry in the vast AF-1 canon are reflective flashes underneath the Swoosh, along with 3x1 branding on the left sockliner.
