EVENT RECAP: New Balance Made In The UK Season 2

With the UK & most of central Europe riding out a bit of decent weather, Autumnal footwear options are perhaps unsurprisingly low on the agenda. Fear not though for New Balance have got us product nerds covered with a glimpse of what’s to come from the Made in The UK line for the leafy season.

Catching up with the Flimby team in Paris a couple of weeks ago we got a peek at New Balance’s latest campaign (Season 2) highlighting a plethora of styles shot on streets of the French capital. Purists can rest easy as perennial favourites such as the M1500, M991 & M577 return in colourways fit for the season boasting rich material makeups geared towards more inclement weather.

The launch of the 1500 anniversary pack that celebrated the revered runner's heritage was perhaps one of the biggest highlights of the Season 1 campaign, and the brand looks set to continue the 1500 & 1530 pack into season 2. With a very special colourway that pays homage to an unreleased sample.

Not content with just that, the Flimby artisans present a new model to the line up for 2019. Seasoned New Balance aficionados will, of course, recognise the 575 title from its starting role in some Hikmet Sugoer’s early work with New Balance & a distinctive Staple version from way back when. For 2019 NB reworks a few things, first up is the sole unit. The regular unit is switched out for an all-new VIBRAM ‘Megagrip’ sole unit that offers SERIOUS grip if you hadn’t already guessed. Elsewhere the midsection overlays get a reshape along with the heel wrap and a pop of Reflective detailing. New Balance keep things decidedly Autumnal with the colour palettes alongside a pitch-black version with pops of royal blue and bright yellow.

The New Balance ‘Made in the UK’ FW 2019 styles are set to drop in the coming weeks and months stay tuned to HANON for more as and when they arrive. In the meantime shop the first drop of Fall Winter 19 newness below!
