For decades, the Stan Smith sneaker redefined what an athletic shoe can be. But starting in 2021, a recycled, PRIMEGREEN upper and a more eco-friendly construction will lead the new Stan Smith collection to redefine what a sustainable shoe can be. Premiering this season, adidas call on their collaborative creative partnership with Disney to spec up the Stan with some of the most reconcilable green entities from the Disney roster.
Following on from Kermit the Frog, sees adidas launch the Yoda edition Stan Smith. Perhaps the main difference here, rather than how these have been made, is the reshaped heel tab which now sees the Jedi master take pride of place on the heels. The usual Stan Smith gold foil branding is replaced with one of Yoda's iconic lines from the "The Empire Strike Strikes Back" mid Dagobah swamp boot camp which is as poignant now as it is in the film.
