Originally launching as part of the Spring Summer 18 adidas Spezial collection, the Padiham has cemented itself as a firm favourite amongst three-stripe aficionados its classic low profile suede build conjures up images of deadstock trainers brought back in leather sports holdalls from central Europe for a discerning terrace audience.
AW20 sees adidas revisit the SPZL creation with a brace of fresh colourway. First up is this black, yellow and green offering that just evokes classic football kit colours. Think Norwich City or Cyrille Regis leading the line for the baggies or Newton Heath inspired shirts fit for French maestros, complete with the collar popped of course. It's an undoubted football shirt favourite and a combination that works just as well on this astute piece of terrace footwear. Featuring a suede upper with suede overlays and a suitably timeless gum sole. Completing the Padiham offering is a subtle and very wearable shoe arriving in a clear water blue with chalk white and grey suede overlays think long lost Island series shoe and you won't be far off the mark.
