adidas Originals by Neighborhood Spring 2015 Collection

Spring Summer ‘15 sees adidas Originals again collaborate with Japanese label NEIGHBORHOOD on a collection of men’s apparel and footwear. Fusing NEIGHBORHOOD’S signature casual aesthetic, with adidas Originals’ sportswear heritage, the result is a collection of items that reinvigorate the Originals archive whilst pay homage to the classic detailing which delivered the brand with the 3-stripes to iconic status.

NEIGHBORHOOD have recontextualised a number of classic Originals items which form the foundation of the range. The striking NH Mountain Parka features 3-stripes detailing reminiscent of a vintage adidas jersey created in West Germany in the ‘80s, lovingly referred to as the ‘skeleton jersey’ due to the placement of the stripes which create a bonelike formation. The apparel collection is then completed with a number of considered pieces including a button-down oxford, a tailored jacket, a cardigan and a pair of shorts and matching shirt in street-ready blue bandana print. Each garment is accented with co-branded details, such as buttons and embroidering.

For footwear, NEIGHBORHOOD has chosen to highlight a vintage model popular with diehard fans of the brand. The NH Boston Super OG sits defiantly in an all-black Nubuck leather upper, accented with striking white triangle details on the outsole and collaboration branding on the tongue. Bolstering the footwear offering are iterations of the Pro-model, Campus 80s Mid, ZX 500 OG, Tournament and Adilette, all receiving the signature NEIGHBORHOOD treatment in black, gold, grey and marine blue, tonal hues echoed throughout the entire collection.
