New from adidas Originals is the SAHALEX, a low-top silhouette that distills hiking and rock-climbing reference points into a functional walking shoe reminiscent of leisure ranges from the archive.
Nodding towards the brand’s rich archive in outdoor in particular approach and climbing shoes, the SAHALEX remains locked in with updated, modern tooling. The uncannily grippy outsole is made from high-friction Stealth Rubber, an innovation borrowed from adidas’ Outdoor division. Climbing rubber features on the toe and heel bumpers in, and pull tabs appear on the heel the tongue. Mesh uppers are overlain with nubuck panels, while rope laces and reflective detailing round out the look.
Bare of three-stripe branding, the SAHALEX features subtle logo hits on the heel and tongue. For its inaugural release, the SAHALEX arrives in two colorways that nod in the direction of the signature cloud blues and golden browns of classic leisure ranges of the past.
