Hailing from New York City, Book Works came about through the friendship of Oscar Mann & Martin Davis. The two bonded over a shared love for Jazz music and the rich pool of imagery associated with it as neighbors in the same NYC apartment block. The duo started a music label and still run it as book works before naturally evolving into producing T-shirts and various other garments and accessories to act as canvas to share their appreciation of Jazz music.
September 2021 sees the brand join forces with adidas Originals to embark on their first collaborative footwear project. Introducing the Campus 80's x Book Works "Blue 'n' Green" (A nod to the truly timeless Miles Davis track?). A luxe black nubuck drapes the uppers keeping things decidedly elegant whilst custom blue & green rich semi circular suede panels lend a satisfying pop of colour against the backdrop. Book Works rework the set of footbed with a sheet music inspired print with a buttery soft leather top layer applied to the heel quarter of the footbed fittingly signed off with a gold foil Book Works Logo. Signing things off are gold foil logos on the heel tabs and a custom black box again complete with gold foil collaborative branding.
