adidas Originals returns for the latest installment of the 26-sneaker A-ZX series. This time around the Three Stripes has partnered once again with Sean Wotherspoon to bring his ongoing Super-Earth collaboration to the iconic ZX 8000 silhouette. Honoring our planet in quintessential fashion, Sean elevates the archival sneaker
with a number of special sustainable updates.

So what does it look like? Built-in celebration of the diversity of our planet, the ZX 8000 Wotherspoon sneaker features an entire patchwork upper composed of recycled polyester and organic canvas that has been pieced together using hyper-efficient pattern cutting techniques in order to create less waste. Bringing together a number of different textiles, patterns, and fabrics — even borrowing its tongue from the iconic adidas Samba silhouette and using waste rubber for its outsole — the sneaker champions sustainability with an entirely vegan construction. The sustainable collage motif does not end there, however, as the sneaker comes replete with multiple lace options, recycled polyester lining, a pair of mismatched Super-Earth branded sock liners, and heel cages that have been filled with leftover threads. Finally, rounding out the striking look, are Super-Earth graphics on the tongues and heel tabs, as well as floral embroidery throughout.
