adidas Originals and Concepts, the Boston-based streetwear retailer and brand come together to present the next stage of the 2020 A-ZX series. With stores in megacities around the world such as New York, Shanghai, and Dubai, Concepts has a huge influence in driving today’s sneaker and luxury streetwear scene. Regardless of the brand’s growing global expansion, Boston has remained home for Concepts since 1996. Paying homage to the city’s iconic marathon, which is not only the world’s oldest but also widely regarded as one of the most challenging races, adidas Originals and Concepts have come together to celebrate Boston through a special collaborative ZX-9000.
Drawing inspiration from the recovery blankets used to keep runners warm after they complete the marathon, the adidas Originals by Concepts ZX-9000 shoe features a highly-reflective foiled silver leather upper. The eye-catching sneaker is rounded off with translucent TPU overlays, tri-colour stripes and multi-colour branded laces. Linking the collaboration back to the landmark series, the sneaker comes packaged in an all-white commemorative A-ZX box.
