Founded by brothers Brian and Edward Toft, HANON was born out of a passion for skateboarding and street-wear, originating in the front room of their parents’ house as a makeshift shop in the late 80’s.
Within a year they moved from the unorthodox setup selling products to their friends to a legitimate store called ‘Streethreds’ in their hometown Elgin - a small town situated in the North East of Scotland.
Relocating south to the larger city of Aberdeen in 1993 and transitioning to a name change, HANON quickly established itself as a destination for deadstock and hard to find sneakers as well as an eclectic mix of European and US street-wear brands.
Today we are regarded by the international sneaker community for top quality footwear, as well as footwear collaborations and our own apparel brand.
Introducing the HANON Spring / Summer 2018 Collection, entitled ‘The Chosen Few’, this collection takes its inspiration from the lifestyle and atmosphere of British skateboarding culture in the 1990s.
As a reflection of HANON’s core principles, the collection fuses contemporary sportswear and workwear, and remixes them both with classic HANON streetwear which features technical detailing throughout. All products across the collection have been crafted in Europe from only the finest fabrics and trims, which have been sourced by ourselves.
Alongside the classic HANON colours of Navy and Grey, other seasonal colours of the collection include Petrol Blue, Mustard Yellow, Brick Red, and Bright Blue.
Highlighting some of the key silhouettes for the HANON Spring / Summer 2018 Collection, we welcome the the 90s inspired Cut ‘n’ Sew Crew and Hooded Sweats, which also comes in T-Shirt form, Sleeve Printed Hooded Sweats, as well as our take on the Worker Shirt in two classic colours.
We also see our iconic Flame Badge return on a range of T-Shirts, Crewneck and Hooded Sweats, and Jersey Polo Shirts in the seasonal colours. Rounding off the collection, we have the Billy Chino and also debut the Billy Chino Short, with both styles coming in three colours.
