This Spring we join forces with Fred Perry; quintessential English sports brand and creators of the iconic laurel wreath polo shirt. hanon is proud to launch a collaboration on their B2, a classic tennis shoe from the Fred Perry archive.For this project we teamed up with legendary textile manufacturer Halley Stevensons. Established in 1864, Halley Stevensons originally produced sail cloth for the fishing fleets of Scotland at their Baltic Works factory in Dundee. Today the company operates from exactly the same premises and is globally recognised as a pioneer and leading manufacturer of oiled and waxed cotton as they continue to supply the outdoor and fashion industry worldwide.
Launched in the 1980's, Fred Perry's B2 was introduced as a full white tennis shoe with a canvas upper and rubber cup sole. Our hanon edition is a rework of the original model executed in P200 Super Dry - a 100% cotton performance fabric by Halley Stevensons. Densely woven, P200 is an untreated natural material that offers waterproofing and breathability due to the heavy fibres and weaving technique.
Executed in a blue lagoon colour way, each pair is finished with a plush mint green micro fibre collar lining and leather laminated footbed. Dual branding appears woven on each heel tab whilst our fire logo is detailed on the tongue patches.
Three sets of laces come with the shoe, as well as a customised box, monogram branded tissue paper, and a P200 dust bag completes the package.
To accompany the B2 Halley Stevensons shoe, hanon will release a special edition M12 polo shirt. Made in England, the Fred Perry M12 polo shirt hasn’t changed in over 60 years since it was first designed by Fred Perry himself. The all white M12 is made from combed cotton pique and features the trademark details; tonal twin tipping detail on the collar and cuffs, two-button placket, tonal embroidered Laurel Wreath and is finished off with a Fred Perry x hanon label.
The Fred Perry M12 polo shirt will come available with a four die-cut enamel button set, which features our flame, Keeps on Burning and Chosen Few logos.
