Our 7th collaboration project with New Balance over the last 6 years
continues our interest in combining technical performance fabrics (such as
Ventile & Schoeller) with classic NB silhouettes and vintage detailing.‹
The Bionic theme focuses on the concepts of hybridisation, synergy & advanced fabric technology.
The Bionic shoes adopt the quintessential M576 upper and combine
premium leather & suede by Wolverine (USA) with Eschler ceramic
disc printed underlays and reflective 3M N logo and heel panel.‹ The
old school bound tongue bears a custom Bionic woven label and the shoe
is lined in airflow mesh.‹ The bespoke footbeds feature silk screen printed
Hanon logos.‹ The uppers are mounted on the M670 sole unit and close
inspection shows a blank heel tab.‹ Each shoe has 3 lace sets including
a round flecked hiking style lace to reflect the distinctive disc
pattern of the Eschler fabric.‹ Made at NB Flimby, Cumbria, UK.
